Dr. Michelle Heiring

Dr. Heiring has been an active member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Illinois Podiatric Medical Association since 1999. In 1996 she published a case study in the Journal of American Podiatric Medical Association, "Chondromyxoid Fibroma." She was a recipient of the Earl Kaplan Award in 1996, and the Illinois Podiatric Medicine Association Service Award in 1996. Dr. Heiring was inducted into the Loras Players Hall of Fame in 2002.
Dr. Heiring maintains a private office in Chicago, where she provides home healthcare to patients in the city and the surrounding areas. She has extensive experience in diabetic foot care and other high-risk foot conditions. She has over 15 years of experience with wound healing in both diabetic and non-diabetic patients.
Dr. Heiring has a special interest in sports medicine, particularly with conditions that affect runners. She is interested in all aspects of podiatric medicine as well as clinical research. In her spare time she is an avid runner and marathoner, as well as an artist who enjoys oil painting and pen and ink.
